

The Actor & Model
Joe Toro was born in Downey, California. He grew up in San Diego, California and Tucson, Arizona, and now lives between Honolulu and Los Angeles.

Joe graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Shortly after, Joe moved to Honolulu to attend graduate school, started modeling, and then became a firefighter.

Joe is a familiar face in the islands. He has modeled for many luxury brand resorts and hotels, including The Four Seasons at Hualalai, The Grand Wailea, The Trump, Espacio, Kohana Iki, Aulani, the Mauna Lani, and others. He is a fitness model featured in Mens Health Magazine, and ads for Nike, Isagenix, and others. Joe's chisled face has appeared in television commericals for Budlight, Starwood Hotels, and Mervyn's. His athletic body has walked the runway in various fashion shows, including Nike and a fashion segment on the Today Show.

In 2008, Joe began acting when he appeared in ABC's Lost as a bartender. Joe fell in love with being on set, and was officially bitten by the acting bug. He enrolled in acting classes and auditioned for major network shows. He landed a role on Cougar Town. Since then, he has appeared in Hawaii 5-0, Magnum P.I., Never Have I Ever, I Know What You Did Last Summer, NCIS Hawaii, and played small parts in King Kong v. Godzilla and Soul Surfer: The Bethany Hamilton Movie. Joe is always eager to hone his craft. He studied with Margie Haber Studios and Robert Carnegie at Playhouse West. He is currently studying with the Ivana Chubbuck Studio.
